The PMI Dallas Chapter invites you to a special event on Wednesday, February 24th at 6:00 PM.  Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas will explain the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) which provides resources for individuals seeking employment, education, training,  We will have speakers to explain the program and also to assist with re-branding yourself.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is designed to help job seekers secure the employment, education, training, and support services necessary to succeed in the labor market.  They also match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. Every year the core programs that form the pillars of WIOA help tens of millions of job seekers and workers connect to good jobs and acquire the skills and credentials needed to obtain them. With the implementation of WIOA, the Texas workforce system will continue to be a market-driven system, responding to the needs of employers and preparing workers for jobs that are available now and in the future.

NOTE:  Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas serves these cities in greater Dallas County:  Grand Prairie, Irving, Duncanville, DeSoto, Oak Cliff, Redbird, Lancaster, Pleasant Grove area, South Dallas area, North Dallas area, Garland, and Mesquite.

While this presentation is specific to these areas, WIOA is a federal program, and areas in Texas have some local flexibility on how the program is run based on the Board's discretion.

Once you complete the event registration, you will receive a Zoom Credentials registration email by late the night before the meeting via email using the address PMI has in your profile. Verify your PMI email address to be sure. We can't send your access credentials without a valid email address.  To receive your Zoom credential, you must complete the Zoom registration. Once it is complete, you will receive the Zoom link immediately. Use this to join the meeting.
