Andrea Carter

Andrea is the former VP of Applied Project Management who started her journey with PMI Dallas in 2006. Since then, she has been very enthusiastic by volunteering for different positions in the Chapter such as Project Manager Mentor, Applied PM team volunteer, Assistant of VP Applied PM and Board position as VP of Applied PM. Currently, she is part of the Corporate Ambassadors Programs Team.
 
Andrea is a certified PMP & Scrum Master and works for Texas Instruments as an IT Project Manager / Business Analyst. During her positions as VP of Applied PM, she worked with other volunteers on different collaborations with non-profit organizations and educational institutions in the Dallas area such as University of Texas at Dallas, Dallas Give Camp, The University of Texas at Tyler, Seed of STEM, Minnies's Food Pantry, Make a Wish, and others.
 
Andrea enjoys spending time exercising, cycling, volunteering, teaching IT college courses, traveling, giving back in various areas, and spending time with close friends and family. She gives back on a yearly basis to provide educational scholarships in her home state of Mississippi through a 501c3 organization named in memory of her mother, where she is one of the founding members.
