Presentation:

Project Managers stuck in a chaotic, never ending problem solving performance mindset, (which often results in total burnout), can take some cues from professional athletes such as world-class Olympians, who use a mastery mindset to perform at their best. While both approaches end in achieving goals, one approach leaves a person exhausted and stressed, while the other results in a person maintaining control and balance in their life and career. This session examines both approaches and explores why the mastery approach is ultimately superior to the performance mindset.

In this refreshing, energizing, and yes, even contrarian session, you will gain:

  • 7 most common challenges of athletes and Project Managers - and understanding the root cause of them
  • Overview of the 10 disciplines to achieving mastery with a deeper dive into 2 (conscious choices and trust the process)
  • Understanding of how your mindset determines your outcome (worn out chaos or exhausted exhilaration)

This workshop is all about how you can change the way you approach your work and your team in order to gain greater success and outcomes. You choose every day how you approach it - and most of the time the choice is unconscious. Take control of your brain and at the end of the day, end of the project, end of your career, you can feel proud of your accomplishments, your achievements, and the relationships you've built along the way.
