Speaker Biography:
Byron Van Arsdale has a deep passion for what most people love to hate: the conference call. He sees conference calls as THE way professionals develop trust, collaboration, and credibility in a business world where travel is limited and geographically dispersed teams are the norm. Based on years of observation, he identified 6 Principles that leaders consistently used to lead great meetings.
Lead Great Meetings trains people to lead great virtual and face-to-face meetings.
Byron has an extensive background in business coaching, presentations training, and developing collaboration within teams. He developed The 6 Principle Model of Leadership based on the fact that while Information Transfer (training) was important, it was Knowledge Transfer (application and integration) that directly determined individual and organizational results. IBM, Cisco, Oracle, Kaiser Permanente, the Los Angeles Community College District,UniversityofTexas Systems, and numerous other companies and public sector organizations have used The 6 Principle Model of Leadership as the foundation for leading and conducting effective virtual meetings within their organizations.
He is CEO of Lead Great Meetings, a Master Certified Coach, and is co-author of No More Lame Conference Calls – The 6 Principles You Need to Lead Great Meetings. This 6 Principle Model is the only leadership model developed for leading conference calls and virtual meetings.
