Conference Call Leadership for Project Managers:

Training Your Participants To Be Their Best

Byron Van Arsdale, MCC

What assumptions block your ability to lead effective virtual meetings?

What could you accomplish if you consistently built trust and credibility both internally and externally to your organization?

Talking about conference calls is a great remedy for insomnia. That is why it is crucial to see “conference calls” for what they are: the common way geographically dispersed professionals develop trust, collaboration, and credibility in a business world where travel is restricted. Today, conference calls are where professionals experience the highest frequency of “touch points”.

This fast pace webinar will focus on you as the leader where the “conference call” is your personal platform to practice and develop your leadership skills. While we’ll focus on how you lead conference calls, our discussions will be applicable to every aspect of your career.

  • Learn what assumptions block your ability to lead effective virtual meetings
  • Discover the single assumption that dooms most professionals to leading lame conference calls.
  • Find out how the 6 Principles from No More Lame Conference Calls helps you establish a collaborative environment in both virtual and face-to-face meetings.
  • We’ll wrap up by identifying one specific action step you can take to improve your ability to build trust and collaboration during your conference calls.

Takeaways

  1. Discover one blind spot you have around leading conference calls.
  2. Identify one leadership Principle you can personally employ.
  3. Write down one action step to build trust and collaboration during your conference calls.

Bring your questions and join us for a fun, interactive discussion on how you lead geographically dispersed groups.

Speaker Biography:

Byron Van Arsdale has a deep passion for what most people love to hate: the conference call. He sees conference calls as THE way professionals develop trust, collaboration, and credibility in a business world where travel is limited and geographically dispersed teams are the norm. Based on years of observation, he identified 6 Principles that leaders consistently used to lead great meetings.

Lead Great Meetings trains people to lead great virtual and face-to-face meetings.

Byron has an extensive background in business coaching, presentations training, and developing collaboration within teams. He developed The 6 Principle Model of Leadership based on the fact that while Information Transfer (training) was important, it was Knowledge Transfer (application and integration) that directly determined individual and organizational results. IBM, Cisco, Oracle, Kaiser Permanente, the Los Angeles Community College District,UniversityofTexas Systems, and numerous other companies and public sector organizations have used The 6 Principle Model of Leadership as the foundation for leading and conducting effective virtual meetings within their organizations.

He is CEO of Lead Great Meetings, a Master Certified Coach, and is co-author of No More Lame Conference Calls – The 6 Principles You Need to Lead Great Meetings. This 6 Principle Model is the only leadership model developed for leading conference calls and virtual meetings.
